Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Wichita, Kansas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary: Travel Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) is needed at a healthcare facility in Wichita, Kansas. This position involves caring for postpartum patients and high-risk pregnancies in a birthing center setting. The role provides an excellent opportunity to work with a dedicated team utilizing advanced equipment and evidence-based practices. Job Details: Schedule: Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, a minimum of 1-year current acute care postpartum experience, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, and at least 1 year of related experience. Preferred Qualifications: Obstetrics experience, medical-surgical (med-surg) experience, gynecology (GYN) experience. Additional Information: The unit has 29 beds staffed by 20 personnel, including 1 charge nurse per shift and 2-4 registered nurses. Procedures include post-operative gynecological surgeries, high-risk pregnancy management, fetal monitoring, GYN oncology, and postpartum care. Equipment such as Welch Allen vitals machines and POC glucose monitors are used, with Meditech and CPN electronic medical records. The ideal candidate is positive, hardworking, and comfortable staying busy. The unit follows HCA ICARE standards of behavior.
