Job Responsibilities Performs nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures using equipment such as Hybrid PET/CT scanners, on patients of all ages, adhering to established protocols and standards. Conducts advanced procedures including PET/CT exams, shunt patency exams, brain death studies, and Octreoscan. Administers therapies like 131 I ablations, Strontium/Samarium, Xofigo, and performs SPECT/CT imaging with contrast studies. Maintains technical skills related to imaging factors, emergency patient care, bariatric imaging, and ICU patient imaging. Ensures equipment safety, proper documentation, infection control, and participates in quality control and maintenance activities. Monitors and troubleshoots equipment issues, assists engineers, and modifies imaging protocols as needed. Provides guidance to junior staff and students, supports ongoing education, and performs biweekly scanner normalization. Maintains radiopharmaceutical safety, radiation exposure safety, and follows safety protocols. Works independently, participates in flexible hours, and takes call as required. Qualifications Qualifications include a registered nuclear medicine technologist certification (ARRT-N or NMTCB), active Illinois license, BLS CPR certification, and PET certification within 18 months. Requires at least 2 years of experience, including 1 year as a Nuclear Medicine Tech II and 700 hours on a hybrid PET/CT scanner. Strong interpersonal skills are essential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
