Role Description The International Trade Compliance Specialist is a full-time role based in Waukesha, WI. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day export and import compliance activities, including classification, documentation, and adherence to U.S. and international trade regulations. The specialist monitors and interprets regulatory changes, updates internal procedures, and supports audits and internal reviews. Daily tasks include coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure accurate licensing, screening, and recordkeeping, as well as resolving trade-related issues that may affect shipment timelines or customer commitments. The role also supports training and guidance for colleagues on trade compliance requirements and contributes to continuous improvement of compliance processes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of international trade compliance regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, customs requirements) and experience applying them in a manufacturing or technology environment.
• Ability to manage export and import processes, including product classification, documentation preparation, denied party screening, and maintenance of compliance records.
• Strong analytical and research skills to interpret regulatory changes, assess risk, and recommend practical compliance solutions.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, suppliers, logistics providers, and customers in a clear and professional manner.
• High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with standard business software tools (e.g., Excel, Word, ERP systems); experience with trade compliance or export management systems is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, International Relations, Law, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Prior experience in international trade compliance, logistics, or supply chain operations within healthcare, life sciences, or industrial markets is a plus. xhyhwjd
• Prior experience in managing a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) a plus
• Professional certifications in trade compliance or customs (e.g., CCS, CES, or similar) are advantageous.
