Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor: Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification: Required
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale: Required
• At least two years of recent experience in the field: Required

Responsibilities

• Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care.
• Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team in providing patient care in a safe and caring environment.
• Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Implements care plans and evaluates progress towards attaining outcomes.
• Provides education and learning opportunities for patients and families.
