About the Position

Job Title

Travel RN – Trauma Telemetry (Night Shift)

Asheville, North Carolina

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights | 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Trauma Telemetry unit with a night shift RN-to-patient ratio of 1:6/7
• Monitor patients using medical remote telemetry equipment, including Cerner Patient Observation (CPO) and VC150 systems in every patient room
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Cerner EMR with Tap and Go access via workstation on wheels
• Prepare patients for procedures including Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and the Operating Room as needed
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, CNAs, and HUC staff in a fast-paced trauma environment
• Fulfill weekend shift requirements, including a minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday qualify as weekend shifts on nights)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Demonstrated proficiency in Medical Telemetry
• Ability to work night shifts in a high-acuity trauma telemetry setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Charge Nurse or leadership experience
• CMSRN certification (encouraged)
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR
