Systems Analyst IILocation: Auburn Hills, MI (Day 1 onsite)Job RequirementsMinimum 10 years of overall IT experience, including 5+ years of combined Systems Analyst and Application Developer experience.Strong Automotive OEM experience.Experience working in Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall delivery methodologies.Experience using JIRA and Confluence for requirements management, project tracking, and documentation.Business Analysis & Solution DesignAnalyze business and user needs to identify solution opportunities and define application requirements.Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation activities, including functional and non-functional requirements.Assess business requirements and perform impact analysis across business processes, systems, applications, APIs, and integrations.Translate business requirements into technical designs and implementation specifications.Document complex business processes, technical workflows, microservices, APIs, and system interactions.Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.Create process flows, data flow diagrams, and other solution documentation artifacts.Support business case development, project estimations, and planning activities.Experience with cloud-based architectures and deployment models.Experience supporting enterprise integration platforms and middleware solutions.Experience with digital transformation and business process improvement initiatives.Demonstrated ability to create high-quality Epics, Features, and User Stories within JIRA.Experience producing business and technical documentation that is clear, organized, and audience-appropriate.Application Development & DeliveryDesign, develop, unit test, integrate, and support enterprise applications and services.Develop scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions that satisfy functional and non-functional requirements.Develop configurable services and enterprise integrations supporting business applications.Apply secure development practices, coding standards, and established design patterns.Create and maintain technical design, application, and systems documentation.Support system implementation activities including design, testing, deployment, and rollout.Research emerging technologies and standards to support continuous improvement and innovation.Testing & SupportSupport quality assurance activities, including test strategy development and test coverage assessments.Participate in functional, integration, and performance testing activities.Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application and integration issues.Coordinate issue resolution with cross-functional teams and dependent application owners.Ensure project deliverables are completed within established timelines and quality standards.Collaboration & CommunicationFacilitate communication between business stakeholders, project teams, and technical resources.Listen to and synthesize complex multi-party discussions into clear, actionable requirements and documentation.Translate business needs into technical solutions and technical concepts into business-friendly language.Work independently in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and competing deadlines.Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills.Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.Technical ExperienceWeb and Microservice technology platforms and frameworks (IBM Integration Bus (IIB), Spring Services)IBM DataPowerJava/J2EE, JMS, XML, XSLT, XQUERY, XSD, SOAP, REST, WSDL, BPELUML Modeling & Eclipse IDEWebSphere, JBoss, TomcatAuthentication/Authorization (Single Sign On, SAML, OAuth)Object relational mapping tools (Hibernate, etc.)Relational databases (Oracle, MySQL) and NoSQL databasesExperience building web services (SOAP/Rest) using Java APIs and tools, such as JAX-RPCExperience with the Spring Framework and general MVC frameworksExperience with scripting languages (e.g. Unix shell scripting, Perl)Experience with cloud and continuous integration tools (e.g. SVN/GIT, Jira, Jenkins, Maven, etc.)Unique SkillsStrong communication skills including the ability to translate business need to technical teams, translate technical solutions to business teams, and communicating to your team on progress/issues.Strong execution culture and attention on taking tasks to completion.Strong written communication skills.The ability to create clear and understandable Epics and User Stories in JIRA and Confluence.Ability to document business and technical concepts in a clear and organized manner.
