Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all automotive dealership accounting operations , including Accounts Payable (A/P), Accounts Receivable (A/R), DMV processing, and deal posting
• Manage and mentor a team of 4–6 office staff and accounting professionals
• Partner directly with the CFO and General Manager on financial strategy and operational execution
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and dealership regulations
• Maintain accurate and organized deal jackets, contracts, and financial documentation
• Oversee cash management, reconciliations, and flooring schedules
• Perform bank reconciliations, schedule reviews, and tax filings
• Drive cost control, margin improvement, and financial accuracy across the dealership
• Support leadership with financial analysis and reporting insights

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of automotive dealership accounting experience
• Prior experience as a Business Office Manager (BOM) required
• Strong knowledge of automotive accounting processes and compliance requirements
• Proven leadership experience managing office/accounting teams
• High-level proficiency in financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
• Experience with dealership management systems (DMS) preferred (e.g., Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK)
