Role Description The Director of Sales Marketing is a full-time, on-site role based at Candlewood Suites Kenosha in Kenosha, WI. This role is responsible for developing and executing the hotel’s sales and marketing strategy to drive occupancy, revenue growth, and brand visibility across key market segments. Day-to-day tasks include managing sales pipelines, conducting prospecting and outreach, nurturing relationships with corporate and group clients, and overseeing sales operations such as contracting, rate negotiations, and reporting. The Director will coordinate with the General Manager and hotel teams to align promotional campaigns, digital presence, and local partnerships, and will analyze market trends and performance metrics to adjust tactics. This role also involves representing the property at networking events, fostering a guest-centric culture, and mentoring team members to achieve sales goals. Qualifications Strong Sales and Business Development skills, with experience identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and closing deals in hospitality or related industries. Proficiency in Sales Operations, including forecasting, pipeline management, CRM usage, and reporting to support data-driven decision-making. Demonstrated Customer Service capabilities, with a commitment to delivering positive guest and client experiences and resolving issues professionally. Effective Team Management skills, including leading, coaching, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve shared revenue targets. Relevant experience in hotel or hospitality sales and marketing, including local market knowledge of Kenosha and surrounding areas. Ability to develop and implement marketing plans, including digital campaigns, promotions, and community partnerships. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with corporate clients and stakeholders. Organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and adjust strategies accordingly.
