Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Licensed Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Lafayette, Colorado. This role involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards, with a focus on patient assessment, health education, and supportive care during the labor and delivery process. The position requires a proactive approach to patient care and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a requirement of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, NRP certification, and AWHONN or C-EFM certification. A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a labor and delivery setting is preferred.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience specifically within a Labor and Delivery Department is preferred.
• Responsibilities: Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions as defined by the state Board of Nursing. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care; perform health assessments; provide health teaching and counseling; execute therapy and treatment capabilities; refer patients as necessary; review and monitor therapy plans; document in accordance with regulatory guidelines; and utilize available resources effectively.
• Additional Information: May be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on operational needs. May also be required to be on-call during scheduled shifts.
