Under the supervision of the Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator, provides assistancewith the Hawaii Public Health Collaboration, a partnership with the Department of Health’s Public Health Infrastructure Grant and the Department of Public Health Sciences (DPHS), to develop and support activities that bolster academic and workforce pipelines and pathways2. Organizes and/or promote workshops and events on topics relating to workforce pathways including preparing for internships, academic success strategies, and career fairs3. Promotes the Collaboration and DPHS at conferences, career fairs, and events to promote academic and career pathways into public health4. Contributes to the development, implementation, and dissemination of program reports, presentations, press releases, literature reviews, or scholarly products 5. Assists in developing presentation and training materials for local and national meetings, conferences, and trainings6. Assists with the writing and formatting of the Collaboration’s e-newsletter for dissemination to partners and the community7. Update and maintain content materials for website and to accompany trainings and outreach efforts8. Assist with abstract, manuscript, and report writing9. Review in-text citations and prepare bibliographies10. Attend staff and project meetings and take minutes11. Other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications: 1. Classified degree-seeking student in a Masters or PhD program in Public Health, SocialWork, or related field under UH Graduate Division2. Be in good academic standing and maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above3. Maintain 6 credits per semester with the exception of those who have reached 800(dissertation) or 700F (thesis)4. Experience using design software such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, and/or related software to create website graphics, infographics or reports5. Proficient in Google Workspace Applications and/or Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint6. Strong oral and written communication skills7. Detail oriented and organized8. Responsible, dependable, and efficientDesirable Qualifications: 1. Classified University of Hawaii Public Health graduate student2. Experience with creating professional social media posts and newsletters (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, MailChimp, Tweetdeck and/or similar social media content management)3. Experience working with Department of Health partners and stakeholders4. Knowledge of Department of Education’s Health Academies or Career, Technical and Education pathways5. Previous experience with state and/or federally-funded public health projects6. Experience preparing abstracts, scientific publications, and/or other technical reports7.
