They assess the patient's condition, perform diagnostic tests, begin treatments and assist doctors with any required medical procedures. The critical care nurse monitors and adjusts specialized equipment, interprets and records electronic displays; i.E. intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, cardiac rhythms, ventilator settings, etc.Education:Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved programPreferred: Bachelor's Degree in NursingExperience:Preferred: Previous nursing experienceSkills:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsDemonstrate effective leadership abilitiesExhibits valuable time management skillsStrong critical thinking/problem solving skills. xmcpwfuFlexibility and ability to work in a multi-tasking environment.Licensure/Certification/Registration:Required: RN license active in the state of MissouriRequired: BLS must be obtained within 90 daysACLS must be obtained within one year of hire
