Mortgage Loan Processor

Position Overview Our client is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor to join their team in New York, New York. This role involves accounting for mortgage loan investments and servicing a portfolio of loans across multiple financial processes. Responsibilities Perform accounting for mortgage loan investments and service a portfolio of loans, recording various journal entries (acquisitions, dispositions, collections, disbursements, adjustments, etc.). Perform ad‑hoc loan tasks and inquiries such as billing, escrow analysis, escrow payments, payment history, and adjustable‑rate settings. Support financial and investment reporting, including STAT and TAX reporting, and participate in projects as required. Execute assignments according to company and department procedures, controls, and systems, incorporating decision making. Prepare, gather, analyze, build, organize, and review reporting for various requests and inquiries. Prepare reporting assignments and ensure that workpaper referencing support is clearly documented. Assist with special projects and research work. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, and/or computer science (preferred; other degrees considered). 3+ years of experience in loan servicing of commercial mortgage loans. Construction loan experience is a plus. High proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Qlik Sense, Business Objects, Crystal Report Writer, and Microsoft SQL Server (to create SQL queries) is a plus. Strong organizational and communication skills; team player. Self‑starter capable of working independently; good listening and learning attitude. Accountable for all work contributions and provides informal guidance to others. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to analyze issues and propose solutions using judgment and precedents. Salary The approximate pay range for this position is between $20.78 and $29.71.
