Base pay range $155,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Selby Jennings Recruitment Consultant - Investment Banking & Private Equity Job Title :Senior Loan Workout Specialist Locations : New York, NY | Los Angeles, CA | Dallas, TX | Houston, TX Position Summary : Our client is seeking a Senior Loan Workout Specialist to join their Special Assets Division (SAD), a team dedicated to managing distressed wholesale corporate and project finance loans. This role is instrumental in minimizing losses and maximizing recoveries through proactive credit management, complex restructurings, and strategic exits. This is a high-impact, front-line role for experienced professionals who can independently manage complex credit relationships and lead transactions involving multi-bank syndicated loans. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in loan workouts, regulatory frameworks, and structured finance. Key Responsibilities : Independently manage a portfolio of distressed and complex credit relationships, including syndicated and structured loans Lead turnaround and exit strategies, including: Loan sales Structuring and providing ongoing financing Serve as the primary point of contact on transactions and lead agency roles Assign internal risk ratings and ensure timely, accurate credit reporting Interface with regulators and ensure compliance with regulatory expectations Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external parties to negotiate and implement effective workout strategies Mentor junior staff and support special projects led by the Division Manager Ideal Candidate Profile : Proven experience in loan workouts at large national or regulated banks Background in wholesale, corporate, or structured finance Familiarity with regulatory ratings and direct experience interfacing with regulators Experience in Portfolio Management, Leveraged Finance, or Restructuring is a plus Strong leadership, negotiation, and transaction execution skills Not focused on SBA, CRE, or middle-market lending Core Competencies : Strategic and analytical thinking Financial acumen and risk assessment Negotiation and stakeholder management Leadership and collaboration Results-driven and detail-oriented If you're a seasoned credit professional looking to take on complex challenges and lead high-stakes transactions, we want to hear from you.
