Job Overview This advertisement is for a Physical Therapist I position located at California State Prison‑Los Angeles County in Lancaster, Los Angeles County. Position number: 027-213-9281-XXX. Part‑time (36 hrs/week). Monthly salary range: $5,139.00–$7,624.80. Under the clinical direction of the Chief Medical Executive and the direct administrative supervision of the Chief Support Executive or Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, the Physical Therapist I administers physical therapy treatments and active, passive, restorative, and resistive therapeutic treatment to patients in a correctional facility. Additional Information Effective July 1, 2025, the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) was implemented. PLP 2025 reduces each full‑time employee’s base salary by 3 % and provides 5 leave credits monthly through June 2027. Part‑time employees are subject to the same conditions on a prorated basis. Salaries do not reflect these recent changes. Minimum Qualifications Possession of the legal requirements for the practice of physical therapy in California as determined by the California Medical Board. Applicants may be admitted to the examination prior to meeting these requirements, but the California Medical Board must determine that all legal requirements have been met before candidates will be eligible for appointment. Please note: A Training and Development (T&D) assignment will not be considered at this time.
