Adventure & Sports Instructor

Sports and Adventure Instructor Location: Troubadour Golf & Field Club, outside Nashville, Tennessee. Start Rate: $17.00/hour. Employment Type: Full‑time hourly, seasonal position. Training: Must be available for training May18 through May29. Key Responsibilities Lead and instruct individuals or groups on activities such as kayaking, canoeing, fishing, archery, axe throwing, skeet shooting, etc. Brief participants on safety and logistics. Clean, maintain, and prepare equipment. Overall supervision of members, youth, and families to provide a healthy, safe, and memorable experience. Execute day‑to‑day activities. Facilitate positive group relationships and address conflict constructively. Practice all safety standards on property and activity spaces. Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Deliver and ensure high‑quality programs and excellent customer service. Be active outdoors all day under variable weather conditions and walk extensively around The Farmstead. Lead/instruct individuals at Sports Courts (pickleball, padel, tennis, basketball). Oversee games at Discovery Field (baseball, football, soccer, lacrosse). Qualifications High school graduate or GED equivalent. Minimum 18 years old. Experience working with sports/outdoor adventure activities as an instructor or pursuing a degree in Parks & Recreation or Sports Management. Sports/outdoor adventure instructor or coach experience. Youth leadership experience in a non‑profit organization (e.g., religious institutions, Boys & Girls Club, United Way). Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, stand, walk, and move for periods >8 hours, lift and carry >50 pounds. Fluency in English; additional languages preferred.
