Actuarial InternshipStructured actuarial student programme. Closer to a structured student programme than a modelling-heavy role—the 10-week experience spans several actuarial practice areas rather than building depth in one.Actuarial internship in MetLife's Retirement & Income Solutions team in New York, supporting retirement and individual annuity work. Across a structured 10-week program, interns may contribute to pricing, reserving, actuarial modeling, financial analysis, ALM, or investments. The hybrid role starts in person and requires at least three office days per week, with pay of $28-$35 per hour.RequirementsMust have:Authorized to work in the US without requiring visa sponsorshipHybrid work: minimum 3 days per week in officeStrongly preferred:Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in actuarial science or quantitative fieldCumulative GPA of 3.0 or higherStrong Excel skills with pivot tables, advanced formulas, data analysisStrong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsLeadership experience and strong communication skillsInterest in learning programming languages and emerging technologiesNice to have:Currently enrolled in a master's degree program (preferred)One or more SOA exams passed (preferred)Experience with Python, R, SQL, SAS, or VBA (preferred)Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies (preferred)Tools: Excel
