About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for its U.S. Media and Entertainment Industries Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the coverage of mid-cap and large-cap media and entertainment clients, with a focus on business development, relationship management, and driving the growth strategy within designated subsectors. This role requires a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years' experience in a relevant financial services role, deep industry relationships, and a strong understanding of market trends and underwriting parameters. The Managing Director will be expected to originate and lead complex, high-value transactions, including underwriting commitments and syndicated facilities, and to maintain a strong market presence while building the company's brand in the media and entertainment sector. Applicants for the Managing Director position should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a proven track record of success in generating revenue and managing key client relationships. The role demands a technical leader with expertise in commercial credit, deal structuring, and portfolio management, as well as a strong understanding of complex capital structures and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will be a strategic problem-solver, a thought leader for innovation, and have the ability to influence and foster strong internal and external networks. Responsibilities also include portfolio management, ensuring compliance with internal control standards, and representing the company at industry events. The role is pivotal in the company's growth strategy and requires a candidate who is driven, results-oriented, and capable of delivering integrated financial solutions to industry clients.
