Job Description:

- Work 12-hour night shifts with a guarantee of 36 hours weekly.
- Engage in the clinical interview process, receiving timely outreach from our team.
- Take responsibility for the care of assigned patients, ensuring to meet their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:


- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing age-specific criteria.
- Make informed clinical judgments based on scientific knowledge and skills.
- Collaborate with and guide non-RN staff, including LPN/PCT and Unit Secretaries.


Qualifications:


- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse - *Required*.
- Post-operative open-heart care experience - *Required*.
- Critical care experience is highly preferred.
- Proficient in managing chest tubes and other drains - *Required*.
- Skilled in pre- and post-procedure care for patients with radial and femoral access - *Required*.
- Strong competency in cardiac monitoring, interpreting rhythm strips, recognizing changes in cardiac rhythms - *Required*.
- Advanced knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary abnormalities - *Required*.
- Experience in assisting with chest tube removal, management of temporary pacers, and troubleshooting non-invasive ventilation (NIV) devices - *Required*.
- Willingness to float to all units within skill level - *Required*.

Additional Profile Requirements:


- Recent work history and skills checklist current to 1 year, relevant to the specialty (PCU) - *Required*.
- Active American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification - *Required*.
- Active AHA ACLS certification - *Required*.
- Valid and active Ohio/OH or Compact RN License - *Required*.
