Custodial staff must be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Custodial staff must possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below.This role pays an hourly rate of $16.94-$17.61 (per CBA).Benefits as per the union agreement.This position will remain open until August 28, 2026.About the VenuePeoplesBank Arena is Connecticut's premier destination for sports & entertainment. PeoplesBank Arena will continue to be the center of sports and entertainment for Hartford and the State of Connecticut for years to come.ResponsibilitiesArrives for each scheduled shift on time, in uniform and ready to work.Performs light and heavy cleaning tasks, including but not limited to cleaning bathrooms and locker rooms, sweeping, mopping, and disposing of garbage.Restocks restrooms with supplies.Works safely, quickly, and efficiently to meet all deadlines.Maintains a positive, outgoing demeanor and acknowledges guests in a friendly manner.All other tasks assigned by Supervisor.QualificationsCleaning or event-related experience preferred.Basic understanding of how to use cleaning equipment.Ability to operate scrubbers, buffers, carpet extractors, etc.Basic understanding of Safety Data Sheets (SDS).Basic understanding of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Ability to work morning, afternoon, and/or overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed.Ability to follow verbal instructions and read written instructions, especially cleaning products and Safety Data Sheets.Strengthened by our Differences.
