Part-Time Finance Assistant (20 hours per week)

- Hours: 4 hours/day part-time - flexible schedule during business hours
- Duration: 2-3 months with potential for extension
Our client is looking for a Part-Time Finance Assistant to provide day-to-day support to their Finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a consistent part-time schedule including a current student or someone with prior accounting bookkeeping or administrative experience.
Accounting experience is preferred but not required. The most important qualities are attention to detail reliability and the ability to follow established procedures and keep routine tasks moving consistently.
What youll do:
- Record daily cash receipts and material allocations
- Process daily mail
- Assist with basic accounts payable tasks including non-PO invoices
- Download invoices and maintain electronic files
- Assist with filing and other administrative tasks as needed
- Help cross-check information and ensure daily tasks are completed accurately
- Provide general support to the Finance team as needed
What were looking for:
- Strong attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Reliable and able to maintain a consistent schedule
- Comfortable following established procedures and working with routine detail-oriented tasks
- Basic working knowledge of Excel Word PDFs/Adobe and Outlook
- Accounting bookkeeping finance or business experience is preferred but not required
- Accounting or business coursework is a plus
- Sage experience is helpful but training will be provided
Schedule :
Approximately 4 hours per day Monday-Friday. The schedule can be developed around your availability but the client would like the hours to remain as fixed and predictable as possible from week to week.
This is a temporary opportunity with the potential to continue through the end of the year and potentially longer based on business needs.
