Job Description
Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT) to join our team in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will provide specialized respiratory care to patients, particularly in managing cases of COPD and pneumonia. Shift Information
- Schedule: 3 shifts per week (12-hour night shifts from 19:15 to 06:45)
- Every third weekend required
- Flexibility to cover night shifts as needed
- Perform respiratory therapy and diagnostic procedures, including the usage of advanced ventilators.
- Provide care in a busy outpatient surgery department and a high-demand emergency room setting.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the electronic health record system.
- Active RRT or CRT credential
- West Virginia state license to practice respiratory therapy
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy preferred; first-time applicants accepted.
- Experience with Puritan Bennett 840 and Nihon Kohden NKV-330 ventilators is preferred.
- Unit includes a 2-3 bed ICU on the same floor for enhanced patient care.
