Residential Housekeeper Department: Housekeeping Employment Type: Full Time Location: Grand Rapids, MI Reporting To: Jodie Bailey Compensation: $17.51 - $19.64 / hour Description Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday | 7am - 3:30pm | Rotating weekends | 1 holiday per year Shift Premiums: Weekend (Fri 11:00 pm - Sun 10:59 pm) 0.50 Department: EVS Department | Porter Hills Village What You’ll Do As a Residential Housekeeper, you play a vital role in creating a welcoming and vibrant community! You’ll work with our independent living residents, building real connections as you help maintain the comfort and cleanliness of their private apartments. Every day is an opportunity to brighten someone’s day with a friendly smile and a helping hand. Key Responsibilities Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors. Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative items. Vacuum and mop floors, carpets, and rugs. Cleans residents’ rooms, recreational areas, offices, and hallways as assigned. Change bed linens and make beds according to established standards. Empty trash containers and dispose of waste in designated areas. Clean and disinfect kitchen surfaces, appliances, and utensils. Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products. Organize and maintain storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment. Adhere to established cleaning schedules and procedures. Must be 18 years of age or older.
