We are looking for a skilled Inspector 2 to conduct routine, complex, and special inspections across our facility. In this critical role, you'll be the expert, training new employees in inspection techniques and procedures, handling investigations, surveys, and complaints with precision. You'll be the voice of authority, taking decisive action based on inspection results and making informed recommendations to ensure our operations meet the highest standards.
From completing detailed inspection reports to maintaining meticulous records, your attention to detail will keep us compliant with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations, including ACA Regulatory Laws and Regulations. Beyond your technical expertise, you'll demonstrate your versatility and commitment by working a security post as needed and stepping onto the front lines for a mandatory weekly 12-hour security shift. - In accordance with SPB 3088 effective 10/7/23, $5000 will be added to the minimum starting rate of pay for all classifications within a Critical Vacancy Pay Supplemental Facility. Critical Vacancy Pay Facilities: Huttonsville Correctional Center and Jail, Mount Olive Correctional Complex and Jail, Western Regional Jail and Corrections Facility, Northern Correctional Facility (including Ohio County Correctional Center), Northern Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, Chick Buckbee Juvenile Center, Vicki Douglas Juvenile Center, Potomac Highlands Regional Jail and Correctional Facility, and Eastern Regional Jail and Corrections Facility (including Martinsburg Correctional Center) (SPB 3088)
- Employees in this classification shall receive an annual base building pay differential each fiscal year of $250 after completing one year of service.
- If an employee is hired into a Critical Vacancy Pay Facility (CVPF) and leaves the facility, the additional pay differential of $5,000 shall be removed from their salary, unless transferring to another CVPF.
Minimum Qualifications
Training: High school diploma or the equivalent.
AND
Experience: Four (4) years of full-time or equivalent part-time paid experience in a closely related field
OR
Substitution: Coursework from an accredited college or university may substitute for the required experience at the rate of thirty (30) semester hours for every one (1) year of required experience.
Special Requirement: (1) Licensure and/or certification pertinent to the work performed. (2) A valid driver's license may be required.
