Junior Attorney

Responsibilities Organize and maintain files to ensure accuracy for other attorneys, paralegals, and staff Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings Collaborate with clients and senior associates and other staff to move cases toward resolution efficiently Attend court hearings or other legal proceedings, perform legal research, and work with senior associate attorneys to provide legal advice Review client issues on legal matters, analyze available options, and diligently work to determine the best course of action Assist in managing a criminal defense caseload from start to finish Draft motions, briefs, and legal memoranda Conduct legal research and develop a case strategy Communicate directly with clients, prosecutors, and court personnel Appear in court for hearings and, as appropriate, trials Prepare witnesses and assist in trial presentation Qualifications Member in good standing and actively involved with the ABA (American Bar Association) Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school Effective communication skills and problem-solving skills are necessary to work with all levels of staff and clients Prepared to learn from senior attorneys to meet our client needs and grow our client base Candidates must have passed the bar exam Licensed attorney in Georgia Strong work ethic and willingness to put in the time required to excel Interest in criminal defense and trial advocacy Ability to take feedback, adapt quickly, and continuously improve Excellent oral advocate with good writing, research, and communication skills Comfort in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment Compensation: $90,000 - $105,000 yearly $90,000-$105,000 per year #J-18808-Ljbffr Rafus Law
