Payroll - Garnishment Specialist
Job Title: Payroll - Garnishment Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll
- Review employee hours, earnings, deductions, and payroll changes for accuracy
- Set up and process wage garnishments, child support orders, tax levies, and other court-ordered deductions
- Monitor garnishment payments and maintain supporting documentation
- Process new hires, terminations, bonuses, commissions, and other payroll adjustments
- Research and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee questions
- Reconcile payroll reports and payroll-related general ledger accounts
- Assist with payroll taxes, benefits deductions, and year-end payroll activities
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records
- Support month-end close and additional payroll projects as needed
Qualifications
- 2+ years of payroll experience preferred
- Experience processing garnishments and other payroll deductions
- Knowledge of payroll processes and basic federal and state payroll requirements
- Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Workday, UKG, Paycom, or similar
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewisville, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
