This job reports to the Central Kitchen Manager. Essential Functions Loads food items, supplies, and equipment for transport to assigned locations. Maintains the assigned vehicle (e.g., fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, tire pressure) and performs daily safety checks to ensure safe operation and sanitation of transported food items. Submits vehicle condition reports for repairs as needed. Responds to inquiries from site and central kitchen staff regarding delivery status and direction. Transports food items, supplies, and equipment to designated sites. Unloads items at designated sites. Participates in department meetings, in‑service trainings, workshops, and other gatherings to convey and gather information required to perform job functions. Performs functions of other nutrition‑services positions, as needed within site and satellite sites, to ensure adequate staff coverage. Performs other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Work characteristics: 15 % sitting, 60 % walking, 25 % standing. The job is performed with minimal temperature variations and some exposure to risk of injury or illness.
