Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Position Overview: We are in search of a Senior Accountant located in the Lewisville, TX area. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, this role will involve providing support to operational units and sister companies within the shared services department. We seek a proactive self-starter who thrives in a challenging yet fulfilling work environment. Primary Responsibilities:
- Support the month-end close process
- Conduct account reconciliations
- Manage journal entries, including adjustments for revenue and costs
- Establish new GL accounts and maintain the Concur database
- Interpret data to answer accounting and financial queries
- Assist with audit requests, including SOX Audits
- Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned
- Fulfill any additional duties as required
- Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and SOX compliance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Motivation to develop soft skills and deepen accounting knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills resulting in on-time deliverables
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 4-5 years of general ledger experience
- Ability to quickly learn new systems
- Previous experience in public accounting
