Registered Nurse - Med/Surg (Nights)

Schedule

12-hour night shifts, including weekends as scheduled. Expect to work every other weekend and participate in the holiday rotation schedule with permanent staff.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg unit for night shifts. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive nursing care and contribute to the overall quality of patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in accordance with established standards.
• Monitor and manage patients with various diagnoses including CHF, pneumonia, and chronic renal disease.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Participate in patient and family education.
• Document care accurately using the EPIC charting system.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including charge nurses and nursing aides.
• Assist in the management and care of patients requiring CPAP and BiPAP.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current and unexpired Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience in Med/Surg nursing preferred, with the ability to manage acuity levels.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work under pressure.
