Program Quality Lead

The Coyote Missile On‑site Program Quality Lead (PQL) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) supports U.S. and foreign programs within the Coyote portfolio at the Tucson, AZ location. In this role you will drive a robust quality culture, implement quality practices, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure the program meets all Quality & Mission Assurance requirements. What You Will Do Engage on both strategic and tactical levels, focusing on quality, cost, and schedule performance and providing differentiating quality value to program teams and customers. Act as the Quality POC for Coyote launcher or missile products, interfacing with programs, suppliers, and customers to support technical quality, financial performance, and compliance with Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements. Develop partnerships with senior leaders, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), customers, and quality support functions to implement proactive quality strategies that strengthen Raytheon's position as a market leader. Generate new CORE (Customer Oriented Result and Excellence) and CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality) projects to reduce costs and increase efficiency of the Stinger program. Monitor and lead root‑cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities, ensuring thorough RCCA and systemic issue resolution. Support issue resolution and solutions to production as well as contract start‑up, production support, and sell‑off activities. Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning in accordance with AS9145, where applicable. Qualifications – Must Have Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience. Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems. Leadership experience in failure analysis, root‑cause analysis, and corrective and preventative action. Technical program support experience for manufacturing and/or design processes. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance. U.S. citizenship required. Qualifications – Preferred Six Sigma, Lean, and/or American Society for Quality (ASQ) certifications. Experienced team player focused on continuous improvement. Experience reviewing Statements of Work, Corrective Action Requests, and interfacing directly with customers. Experience presenting, reviewing, and approving changes through a formal Change Control Board (CCB). Experience exercising judgment and providing resolution‑making skills with supervisory intervention. Risk mitigation and opportunity management experience. Experience translating system and contractual requirements into product, assembly, and test documentation. Interpersonal skills in working with customers, suppliers, and within teams. Experience with First Article Inspections per AS9102. Experience with performance‑to‑cost, schedule, and technical performance, including Earned Value Cost Accounting Methodologies. Experience with Rockets/Missiles, Electro‑Optical/Radar systems, manufacturing of electrical systems, testing, electrostatic discharge requirements, and CCA manufacturing to IPC/EIA JSTD‑001 Class3. Security Clearance DoD Clearance: Secret (active and existing security clearance required after day1). You must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required. Benefits Salary range: $107,500 – $204,500 USD (inclusive of base salary and potential incentive programs).
