Location: Tupelo, MS 38804

Employment Type: Part-time, 2025 hours per week

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 12:00 PM 5:00 PM (flexibility to begin at 11:00 AM is preferred). Additional hours may be available for traveling with the family or during special household projects.

Compensation: $24$28 per hour, commensurate with experience

Requirements:

• Maintain a smoke-free environment
• Reliable transportation, clean driving record, and valid driver's license (mileage reimbursement provided for work-related driving)
• CPR and First Aid certified, or willing to obtain upon employment
• Maintain a fragrance-free presence
• Due to the medical needs of an immunocompromised household member, candidates are required to disclose if they have received a live vaccine (such as MMR) within the previous six weeks, as the household member must avoid contact during that period based on medical guidance. About Our Family:

We're a busy, faith-filled family of seven living in Tupelo, Mississippi, with five wonderful kids ranging from a newborn to early elementary age. Life in our home is full, noisy, and beautifully lived-in. Between homeschool co-op days, public school pickup, sports and activities, and the everyday rhythms of raising a young family, there's always something happening. One of our biggest priorities is gathering around the dinner table each evening as a family. Lately, with the pace of life and everything on our plates, that's become harder to make happen consistently, and one of the biggest reasons we're looking for support is to help us protect that precious time together.

Our family is deeply rooted in our Christian faith, and it shapes the way we love, parent, and care for one another. We are looking for someone who can navigate conversations with our inquisitive children with kindness, compassion, and grace, even if you don't share in our belief system. We value a peaceful, well-run home, wholesome meals, and raising children who contribute to the household alongside us. More than anything, we're hoping to find someone who will become a trusted part of our daily life and help bring a little more calm to this wonderfully busy season.

Whether you're folding laundry while keeping an eye on the kids, prepping dinner ingredients before anyone asks, or quietly resetting the kitchen after a busy morning, you bring a calm, capable presence that helps everyone around you breathe a little easier. You understand that supporting a family isn't about doing everything for them. It's about creating an environment where everyone can thrive.

You're experienced working in family homes, dependable, emotionally intelligent, and confident enough to jump in wherever you're needed. You communicate clearly, stay organized, and know how to balance multiple priorities without becoming overwhelmed. You're comfortable working alongside a stay-at-home parent and can intuit when she might need support with the children in a given moment (before she has to ask). You are adaptable when plans change and patient with children of different ages and personalities, including one with more complex medical needs.

Most importantly, you're someone who appreciates a home centered around faith, family, and service, and you'd find real fulfillment in helping this family create the peaceful, intentional home they're working so hard to build.

Key Responsibilities:

Family Support:

• Assist with school pickups Monday through Thursday (either picking up children or staying home to care for younger children)
• Occasionally transport children to after-school activities (ballet, gymnastics, etc.)
• Provide attentive childcare and supervision while supporting the stay-at-home parent throughout the day
• Prepare backpacks, snacks, and school lunches for the following day
• Support children in their after-school routines, empowering them to be contributing members of the household

Household Organization & Maintenance:

• Create and maintain household organization systems that are functional, sustainable, and adaptable as the family's needs change across life stages
• Manage organization and daily resets for high-traffic drop zones
• Reset and tidy daily: wipe surfaces, load and unload dishwasher, take out trash, vacuum high-traffic areas, and other general upkeep between cleaning visits
• Complete a full home reset before the end of each shift so the home is calm and tidy when the family reconvenes in the evening
• Manage seasonal clothing transitions (e.g., swap wardrobes by season, identify outgrown items, coordinate donations)
• Change air filters, batteries, and light bulbs on a scheduled or as-needed basis
• Assist with packing and unpacking for family travel (34 times per year)
• Openness to occasional travel with the family (private accommodations provided) preferred

Laundry & Linens:

• Take full ownership of family laundry (e.g., wash, dry, fold, and put away)
• Iron, steam, and perform other special garment care as needed
• Maintain tidy, well-stocked laundry areas
• Rotate linens and towels as needed

Meal Support:

• Assist with managing and maintaining online grocery orders
• Organize, wash, chop, prep, and properly store groceries upon arrival, ensuring fresh produce is ready for grab-and-go snacks and meal preparation
• Execute up to one fully prepared dinner per week when requested (recipe provided)
• Prepare school lunches the evening before school
• Perform occasional in-person fresh produce runs as needed
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen throughout the shift

Inventory & Errands:

• Keep pantry, refrigerator, and household supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.) stocked
• Manage returns, donation drop-offs (Goodwill, post office), occasional gift shopping (teacher gifts, birthdays), and other misc. errands as requested
• Bring in packages, organize mail, and break down boxes

Pet Care:

• Feed the family dogs
• Schedule vet or grooming appointments as needed
• Maintain pet supplies

Deep Cleaning & Special Projects:

• Perform occasional spot cleaning and illness-related deep cleaning as needed
• Assist with occasional organizational projects (toys, gear, seasonal storage) as requested
