Business Development Representative

Focus: Private Equity (with potential expansion to other verticals) · Warsaw, hybrid · Full-time Vecten is a Warsaw-based AI and data firm working at the frontier of technology and private capital. We partner with private equity funds, their portfolio companies, and venture investors - helping them turn data and AI into a real edge in how they source deals, run their companies, and operate. Role summary Generate qualified first meetings with decision makers at private equity firms and their portfolio companies. The role is outreach and qualification — not closing. Deals are taken forward by the leadership team after handoff. A pre-sales research function already owns database building and firm-level research; this role turns that research into conversations. Responsibilities Connect existing research with the right people and companies: review prepared research on target firms and their portfolios, and assess the best outreach path for each. Define the approach strategy for each firm and its portfolio companies based on our research and playbooks. Run systematic, personalized multi-channel outreach (email, LinkedIn, events) to decision makers at target firms and portfolio companies. Manage the outreach pipeline in CRM: touches, follow-ups, replies, statuses — always current. Qualify responses and book first meetings, then hand off warm conversations to leadership. Represent the company at industry conferences, including pre-event outreach, on-site conversations, and post-event follow-up. Report what's working and feed learnings back into messaging and outreach strategy. Proven experience in outbound B2B sales, business development, or sales development — pipeline generation, not account management. Understanding of the private equity world (funds, portfolio companies, investment lifecycle) or demonstrated ability to learn a sophisticated financial audience quickly. Strong written and spoken English — short, sharp, personalized outreach that senior audiences actually read. Systematic and self-managing: works from a playbook, runs a disciplined pipeline without daily supervision. Comfortable with volume and rejection — energized by opening doors and booking meetings. AI-savvy: you actively work with AI tools in your daily workflow and are genuinely interested in automating and redesigning parts of the sales process for an AI-first reality. Willingness to travel internationally for conferences. Nice to have Experience selling professional services, data, or technology solutions to financial or B2B audiences. Prior exposure to private equity, VC, corporate finance, or portfolio operations. Familiarity with modern outbound tooling (CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, sequencing tools).
