This is a full-time, onsite contract position for a dedicated School Social Worker to serve approximately 40 students in two elementary schools and a preschool classroom. The assignment runs from late October 2026 through mid-May 2027 and offers the opportunity to develop relationships with staff and students while delivering critical support.

Key Qualifications:

• Michigan Department of Education approval as a School Social Worker is required
• Experience delivering social work services in a school setting, ideally at the elementary level
• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population
• Commitment to promoting students’ academic, emotional, and social success

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct services and counseling to students, supporting their adjustment, behavior, and social-emotional learning
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to develop and implement student support plans
• Conduct assessments to identify student needs and monitor progress
• Support classroom interventions and provide crisis management as needed
• Serve as a resource connecting families to community programs and mental health resources
• Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district, state, and federal guidelines
