Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Front Desk in Van Nuys, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Professional in an aero and defense location, you will help manage access, greet visitors, monitor entry activity, and support day-to-day security-related operations with professionalism and care. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control practices, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a front desk location.
• Monitor lobby and reception activity, greet incoming guests, verify identification and/or visitor information, and help to support authorized entry procedures for the location.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, management, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Maintain detailed front desk logs, visitor records, and incident documentation, and report security-related concerns, policy violations, and/or maintenance issues through appropriate channels.
• Answer phones, provide directions and general assistance, and help to support a professional presence consistent with the expectations of an aero and defense location.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
