High School Assistant Principal

Job Description Milford High School & Applied Technology Center is seeking an additional Assistant Principal to join a collaborative and student-centered administrative team. Serving approximately 600 students, as well as students from surrounding sending towns who attend our Applied Technology Center, we are committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all learners. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Thorough knowledge of Milford School District policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations and laws. Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, school operations, and student services. Knowledge of current research of school improvement practices and methods for raising student achievement. Demonstrates educational leadership conducive to a positive learning environment for students and staff. Effectively communicates with diverse groups. Maintains confidentiality. Motivates, encourages, and works with staff to ensure outstanding performance and good morale. Understands evidence-based progressive discipline practices to ensure a positive culture and climate for students and staff. Excellent planning, organizational, management, and oral and written communication skills. Excellent human relations skills. Knowledgeable about special education, 504, and other educational laws. Education, Training, and Experience Master’s Degree with a major in Educational Administration. Minimum of three (3) years teaching experience and prior experience in an educational leadership role. Prior experience supporting student life through student management, behavior support systems, and initiatives that foster positive student engagement and school culture (preferred). Such alternatives to the above qualifications may be considered appropriate and acceptable by the School Board. Certificate and License Requirements Certified by the NH State Department of Education as a Principal (0003) or as an Associate Principal (0007).
