Irrigation Crew Leader

The Irrigation Crew Leader is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of irrigation technicians. This role involves coordinating daily irrigation system installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks, ensuring high-quality standards, and maintaining strong client relationships. Key Responsibilities Team Management: Hire, train, and supervise irrigation crew members. Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities to team members. Monitor team performance and provide feedback and coaching. Address any issues or conflicts within the team. Job Site Management: Plan and schedule daily work assignments based on project timelines, client needs, and weather conditions. Inspect job sites to assess irrigation system performance and identify issues. Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are maintained and ready for use. Supervise and assist with tasks such as system installation, troubleshooting, repairs, and seasonal adjustments. Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their irrigation needs and expectations. Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally. Build and maintain positive relationships with clients. Safety Compliance: Ensure all team members follow safety procedures and guidelines. Inspect equipment for safety hazards and take corrective action as needed. Report any accidents or injuries to management. Qualifications Proven experience as an irrigation crew leader or technician. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of irrigation systems, components, and water management practices. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record. Certification in irrigation or landscape management (preferred).
