Registered Nurse - Obstetrics (RN)The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, and postpartum, alongside direct care for the newborn, ensuring comprehensive maternal childcare.ResponsibilitiesPerform assessments and monitor the labor process.Prepare for C-sections, inductions, and ensure proper documentation of nursing care.Administer care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum, including infant care and patient education.Prepare delivery room and provide emotional support to patients.Coordinate patient transfers and administer IV medications.Adhere to infection control principles and OB department policies.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureCurrent Colorado RN licensure.Current CPR certification is required.Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS must be obtained within one year of employment.4 years of experience in Obstetrics care is preferred.Knowledge and interest in labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursing care essentials.ScheduleThis is a full-time position, working 36 hours per week on the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. May require rotating shifts and areas based on staffing and census needs.
