Responsibilities As a Speech Language Pathologist, you help patients regain their communication and swallowing abilities. You are responsible for delivering effective rehab services, designing treatment plans, and working with patients to implement them. You are a healer and a helper, dedicated to addressing the whole patient as an individual. Your goal is to develop programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance speech and communication skills. You are adaptable to patient needs and find joy in diverse work settings. Your day may involve tasks from equipment cleaning to reporting in meetings. You are a team player, collaborating with peers and making referrals to ensure comprehensive patient care. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you also serve as a teacher, training patients and caregivers to promote independence and productivity. If this sounds like you, we'd love to meet you! Qualifications A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, or a related field accepted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). A Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA or eligibility to participate as an ASHA Clinical Fellow. Candidates eligible to obtain this certification are also accepted.
