Maintenance Mechanic Full Time Commack, NY, US Salary Range: $28.00 To $31.00 Hourly Company Summary Radienz Living is a leading North American manufacturer of home and personal care products, such as unit dose, disinfectant wipes, all-purpose cleaners, facial wipes, baby wipes, and more. The company operates nine manufacturing plants and warehouses across North America and provides private label solutions and contract manufacturing services for retail and institutional markets. Background The Maintenance Mechanic proactively maintains production equipment and facilities to ensure maximum availability. They respond to unscheduled downtime, perform required repairs, support capital and special projects, and mentor operators to increase effectiveness and uptime while working safely as part of a team. Responsibilities Use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications. Maintain machines proactively to support plant and department goals for productivity, waste reduction, quality, and safety. Ensure guarding, facilities, and equipment are in good working order. Set up and operate machines and perform necessary duties to meet manufacturing and quality targets after repairs. Detect, record, and report defective equipment to the Maintenance Manager/Shift Supervisor. Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required. Provide support by running production machines as necessary to ensure continuous operation and meet production schedules. Collect data on machine operation and suggest actions to reduce machine downtime. Efficiently manage time and complete all tasks assigned by the supervisory authority. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and OSHA rules while conducting work functions. Qualifications & Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent, accreditation from a technical/vocational training or an applicable skilled trades program, or 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience. Willingness to accept frequent supervision and assistance with regard to machine maintenance work functions. Experience with automated production equipment preferred. Experience in a consumer products environment preferred. Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to work under stress. Sound understanding of electrical testing and repair equipment. Excellent knowledge of machines, spare parts, operations, and maintenance. Adherence to SOPs, LOTO procedures, and company safety and compliance policies. Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions. Physical Demands Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach with hands and arms. Must lift, carry, push, and pull up to 70 pounds. Frequent use of hands and power tools to repair, adjust, or maintain equipment. May be required to climb ladders, work at heights, or access confined spaces. Ability to wear required PPE such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel‑toed footwear. Work Environment Primarily works in a manufacturing or production setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts, noise, heat, and varying temperatures. May occasionally work in outdoor areas or non‑climate‑controlled environments. Follows all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment. Work schedule may include overtime, weekends, or off‑shift hours as needed to support production operations. Why Join Us?
