CV Resources is partnering with a growing organization to identify an experienced Senior Accountant to join its accounting team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP, supporting month-end and year-end close activities, analyzing financial information, and contributing to process and systems improvements.

The Senior Accountant will work closely with the accounting team and cross-functional business partners to ensure accounting processes are accurate, efficient, and aligned with organizational objectives.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform general accounting activities in accordance with GAAP

• Prepare and validate month-end closing entries

• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger with a strong understanding of financial reporting and GL structure

• Perform account reconciliations, financial analysis, and fluctuation analysis

• Coordinate inventory cycle counts and related adjustments

• Review and approve vendor bill coding

• Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis

• Participate in reporting and balance sheet reviews

• Prepare audit workpapers and support external audit activities

• Assist with the review and enhancement of internal controls

• Review Staff Accountant work, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations

• Research, analyze, and document technical accounting matters

• Support implementation and adherence to new accounting standards, including ASC 606 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers and ASC 842 – Lease Accounting

• Collaborate with accounting and cross-functional teams on systems and process improvements

• Identify and recommend opportunities to improve accounting processes and procedures

• Participate in the development and implementation of new processes, policies, procedures, and controls

• Stay current on applicable accounting rules, regulations, and industry developments

• Perform additional accounting projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills

• Experience applying ASC 606 and ASC 842

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

• Proficiency with ERP and financial reporting systems

• Advanced Excel skills and intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Professional integrity, accountability, and sound judgment

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Real Estate

• Public accounting experience

• NetSuite experience

• CPA designation
