Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an opportunity to support students as a Special Education Teacher in a secondary school setting near Penfield, NY. This part-time, contract position runs from July 9, 2026, to August 19, 2026, focusing on onsite tutoring for students who benefit from specialized instruction. Your expertise will provide meaningful, individualized educational experiences and help ensure academic growth during the summer session.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid New York Special Education Teacher Certification required
- Current NY Department of Education fingerprint clearance
- Previous experience working in secondary education or with tutoring roles is preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and adaptability skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted tutoring and instructional support to students with diverse learning needs
- Develop and implement individualized education strategies aligned with each student's IEP
- Collaborate with school staff and families to ensure progress toward academic goals
- Track student development and maintain accurate documentation of sessions and outcomes
- Create an engaging, positive, and adaptive atmosphere for learners
