Requirements

• Required certification: Med/Surg
• 1+ years of experience
• Key Requirements Summary: 1. Experience: Minimum 2 years required (job description states minimum 2 years; general requirements note 18 months if not specified otherwise) 2. Cases: Orthopedic elective surgeries such as total joint replacement hips, knees, shoulders, spine surgeries, trauma patients needing orthopedic surgical interventions, osteomyelitis and other infections involving skin and bone needing long term IV antibiotics 3. Certifications: BLS required, ACLS preferred; must be AHA or Red Cross only - RQI cards not accepted 4. License: Must have active IL license in hand at submission 5. Education: Not specified 6. EMR: Cerner experience preferred 7. Shifts/Call: 3x12s Nights (1845-0715), will work every other weekend, no on-call required 8. RTO: Ideally no more than 5 days; can auto-approve 5 or less days of non-holiday RTO; must work 2 out of 3 major holidays 9. Returning Staff: Previous permanent/PRN candidates must be separated for 12 months before applying as traveler 10. Travel/Local: Locals accepted with no radius restriction for this specialty 11. Background: Background check hits must be noted upon submission for approval prior to offer 12. Modules: Non-billable up to 16 hours, completed pre-start, renewed annually; first day is virtual at-home day with strict 4PM CST Day 1 deadline 13. Travel Experience: Previous travel experience preferred 14. Scrubs: Any solid color 15. Flu Vaccine Requirements: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only 16. Special Equipment: Slings, walkers, canes, traction, casts, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, syringe pumps, hospital beds, PAS boot machines, vital sign monitors, vein finder Critical: Will float to other Med Surg departments as needed. Required skills include PICC line management and starting IVs. Telemetry experience preferred. Guaranteed hours allow client to call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment.
