Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel assignment requiring a TX or compact RN license and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.

Details

• 55-bed Emergency Department unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule: 18:45–07:15
• 13-week contract
• Charting via Epic EMR
• Navy scrubs required

Requirements

• Active TX or compact RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department RN experience required
• Required certifications (all must be AHA): BLS, ACLS, PALS
• NRP certification required (AHA/American Academy of Pediatrics)
• TNCC certification required, renewed every 4 years
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification required — 8-hour course, renewed every 2 years
• Must possess a valid US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Two professional references required
• Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
• Copy of certifications and license verification/Nursys required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols
• Implement, monitor, and communicate patient care plans and conditions to the appropriate care team members
• Serve as primary coordinator across disciplines to ensure well-coordinated patient care
• Carry out physician and nursing orders and coordinate patient discharge planning with the healthcare team
