This role involves making daily decisions that maximize profitability and has a large impact on sales, margin, and inventory.50%: Buying/ForecastingCreate and maintain buys for all business units, including any negotiations with factories on delays, shortages, or overagesExecute necessary revisions to buys, driven by changes in customer demand and/or changes in global supply chain operationMonitor vendor performance and execute any logistic changes needed to meet expected deliverablesManage the physical flow of inventory to support both customer demand and warehouse capacitiesPublish monthly costing and capacity supply forecasts to factories, sourcing, and production teams30%: Order ManagementProactively monitors and analyzes customer purchase orders and all related aspectsDetermine the business impact of any delivery issues, prioritize, and communicate any issues related to product flow as they ariseCommunicate with transportation/warehouse teams to execute shipments to customers on timeCompile all necessary documentation for customer item setups and customs compliance for import into final country destinationsMeet with external customer teams to provide information and support as needed for clear communication and positive results20%: WIP Inventory Management/Reporting/Project ManagementManage weekly Clubs inbound inventory/WIPAnalyze on-hand inventory files and communicate with sales team and internal partnersCollaborate with transportation, DC, and Sales daily to maximize revenue goalsProvide weekly reporting to cross-functional teams on operational performance of the brandWork independently on projects for high-priority programsProactively uncover opportunities to improve processes and create efficient toolsWe'd love to hear from you if:Must have: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience requiredCustomer focused and have a sense of urgencyAbility to multitask with shifting prioritiesSolid understanding of Inventory Management and Forecasting principlesStrong numeric, analytical, and critical thinking skillsAbility to combine analytical skills with practical business knowledgeExcellent communication, analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work across organizational boundaries and levelsUnderstand financial impact of decisionsProactively identifies and implements process improvements to generate additional revenue and reduce non-value add workProcess improvement mindedCreate reports to provide detailed data regarding historical order and shipping patternsPreferred skills and experience: Supply Chain related degree & APICS certified preferredCarter's is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
