The Mechanical Assembly Technician will perform precision assembly work, ensuring components are properly fitted, aligned, inspected, and finished according to quality standards. For B ShiftShift(s):A Shift: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM | Monday - ThursdayB Shift: 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM | Monday - ThursdayJob Duties:Assemble components and subassemblies according to blueprints, diagrams, and work instructionsClean, prepare, and inspect parts before assemblyOperate lamination presses to construct units and subassembliesProperly tag parts, assemblies, and finished products for tracking purposesPerform quality inspections to ensure products meet specifications and requirementsIdentify assembly defects and make corrections as neededModify or fabricate components using basic shop equipment when requiredMeasure and verify part dimensions and tolerances using micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and other precision toolsFollow established assembly procedures and quality standardsCommunicate production progress, concerns, and issues to supervisorsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe workstationRequirements:High School Diploma or GED required1-2 years of mechanical assembly or manufacturing experience preferredAbility to read and follow blueprints, diagrams, and technical instructionsBasic computer skills including navigation and data entryStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsStrong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learnAbility to work independently and as part of a teamReliable attendance and strong work ethicPhysical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry 20-30 lbs.Ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks with precisionStrong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordinationAbility to use hand tools and precision measurement equipmentFull visual acuity required, including close vision, distance vision, color recognition, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusAbility to work in a manufacturing environment while maintaining quality and productivity standardsNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
