About the Role:

A well-established civil litigation defense law firm is seeking a Senior Attorney with 7+ years of insurance defense experience to join its growing Boston practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced litigator who enjoys handling complex matters, working directly with clients and taking cases from inception through settlement or trial.

The attorney will defend a variety of insurance defense matters while providing strategic legal advice and delivering high-quality client service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Defend insurance defense matters involving general liability, personal injury, product liability and professional liability.
• Manage cases independently from inception through settlement or trial.
• Draft motions, legal memoranda and other litigation documents.
• Review and summarize depositions and other case materials.
• Prepare cases for hearings, settlement negotiations and trial.
• Conduct legal research and develop litigation strategies.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, experts and other parties.
• Provide practical and effective legal solutions to complex litigation matters.
• Manage multiple cases, deadlines and priorities effectively.

Required Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 7+ years of relevant insurance defense litigation experience.
• Active Massachusetts Bar admission required.
• Active Connecticut Bar admission required.
• Experience with Labor & Employment Law preferred.
• Experience with environmental and/or construction litigation is a plus.
• Strong experience drafting motions and legal memoranda.
• Trial preparation and litigation experience preferred.
• Ability to manage matters independently from case inception through settlement or trial.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical and communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff.
