Medical Director OB/GYN

BMS Family Health & Wellness Centers, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving Brooklyn communities since 1982, is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and visionary Medical Director OB/GYN to lead our women's health services.

This leadership opportunity combines direct patient care, clinical oversight, provider mentorship, and strategic program development while advancing equitable access to high-quality maternal, reproductive, and gynecologic healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee OB/GYN services across BMS locations, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal, postpartum, reproductive health, and family planning services.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate OB/GYN providers and clinical support staff.
• Drive clinical quality improvement, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to strengthen patient access, continuity of care, and health outcomes.
• Support strategic growth and expansion of women's health services.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
• Current, unrestricted New York State medical license and active DEA registration.
• 10 years of clinical OB/GYN experience with at least five (5) years of demonstrated department leadership experience.
• Hospital admitting privileges or eligibility to obtain them.
• Strong commitment to health equity, culturally responsive care, and clinical excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• FQHC or community health experience
• Quality improvement leadership
• Bilingual proficiency.

Compensation & Benefits

BMS offers a competitive compensation and benefits package designed to support your professional growth, financial security, and well-being.

• Salary Range: $330,000$350,000
• Health Coverage: Comprehensive health benefits with zero out of pocket medical expenses
• Retirement: 5% employer 401(k) contribution with immediate vesting
