We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a 13-week locum tenens role focused on general and orthopedic anesthesia. This outpatient orthopedic surgery center uses Epic and offers a supportive environment with MD supervision. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $5,420 - $5,710
• Location: Hagerstown, MD 21740 (western Maryland)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (no overtime or call)
• Hours per Week: 32
• Setting: Outpatient orthopedic surgery center - orthopedic anesthesia focus
• Charting System: Epic EHR
• Supervision: MDs supervising CRNAs (approx. 1:4 ratio)

Required Qualifications

• Current registered professional nurse license (RN)
• Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
• State CRNA licensure or eligibility to obtain Maryland licensure for locum assignments

Core Responsibilities

• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and assessments for orthopedic patients
• Obtain and verify informed consent and discuss anesthetic options and risks
• Provide induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia for general and orthopedic cases
• Continuously monitor physiological status and respond with clinical interventions as needed
• Collaborate with surgeons, MD anesthesiologists, and perioperative staff to ensure safe patient care
• Document anesthesia care accurately in Epic EHR
