Packaging Specialist (35) - 3rd Shift

Packaging Specialist Overview Packaging Specialist position reports through the Lawrence Production Center and may be in multiple departments. Individuals in these departments perform a variety of hand-oriented duties. This position can be in any department that has work for the Packaging Specialist role based on business need. Schedule: Full-time Sunday night – Friday morning, 11:30PM – 7:30AM. Responsibilities Unload product (cards, packages, etc.) from conveyor and place on skid, stock boxes, fixtures, or cartons. Pull and grip cards from large sheets or single levels; scrap material from large sheets or one‑up cards. Feed batch heads or operate manual equipment; assist in production of envelopes by tending press, feeding blanks and boxing completed envelopes. Set up and operate label machines to provide a variety of printed labels. Assist with make‑readies; check production quality; perform preventive maintenance. Report production information; clean equipment and work area. Assemble and pack various display units; read and follow store floor plans and merchandising instructions. Participate in performance dialogues and team problem‑solving to meet department goals. Learn and perform multiple assignments across departments. Qualifications At least 18 years of age. Ability to grasp, lift, and carry product weighing up to 30 lbs frequently and 60 lbs occasionally. Ability to stand and walk approximately 95% of the time. Ability to reach, twist, bend, use repetitive hand/wrist motion and perform fine motor skills approximately 95% of the time. Ability to work at or above shoulder level. Good math, written and oral communication skills. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Good planning and organization skills to set up area. Ability to understand and follow established safety procedures. Ability to accept other duties as assigned; learn quickly and retain knowledge. Team‑oriented; contribute positively during problem‑solving meetings. Benefits & Conditions Work overtime as required during peak seasons. Climate‑controlled manufacturing environment.
