Details ICU setting within an acute care hospital Patient ratio of 2:1 in the ICU; 4:1 in the PCU 12-hour day shifts, 6:50 AM – 6:50 PM, 3 days per week, 36 hours per week Charge RN experience is preferred Epic EMR used; on-site training available for those without prior Epic experience Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required Requirements Active NM or Compact RN license required Required certifications: BLS (AHA, AHSI, or Red Cross), ACLS (AHA, AHSI, or Red Cross), and NIHSS Minimum 2 years of current ICU experience required At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required Must be a team player, flexible, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment Must successfully pass an on-site Basic Cardiac Arrhythmia (BCA) test prior to starting the assignment Additional Information Provides direct patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation Administers medications and treatments per physician orders or standard protocols Coordinates care through collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team Assumes clinical supervision responsibilities for LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel Provides patient and family education related to learning and discharge needs throughout the episode of care The BCA test is administered on-site on the first day of orientation; candidates have one opportunity to re-test if they do not pass initially — a second failure will result in termination Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Former permanent employees of Presbyterian Health Services must wait at least one year before being considered as a traveler American Traveler Job ID P-725167.
