Head of Laboratory Affairs

The Head of Laboratory Affairs serves as a senior leadership role responsible for oversight of laboratory governance, regulatory compliance, accreditation readiness, policy management, and quality. This role supports performance monitoring, staff engagement, training program oversight, issue evaluation, and corrective action processes. The Head of Laboratory Affairs provides operational oversight, identifies improvement opportunities, evaluates risk, and promotes continuous improvement across laboratory operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Establish and monitor laboratory performance metrics, including trend tracking and analysis Support risk mitigation through issue evaluation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning Strong background in regulatory compliance within high complexity laboratories Excellent communication and presentation skills especially cross-functionally and engagement with key stakeholders Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced laboratory environment Ability to influence and collaborate across functions and organizational boundaries QUALIFICATIONS Required Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (e.g., Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field) required 10+ years in laboratory, quality or regulatory roles 5+ years of experience in molecular diagnostics or a related high-complexity laboratory environment Deep experience with highly-regulated laboratories Proven track record managing audits, inspections, and compliance programs Preferred Advanced degree (Master’s, PhD, MBA, or equivalent) preferred [Preferred years of experience in specific role/field] #J-18808-Ljbffr Confidential
